When you call the Law Office of Kevin Patrick Seaver to schedule your free, half-hour consultation with Attorney Seaver, you will be asked some basic questions to ensure that you are not already represented by counsel (some of those who call the office are represented by counsel and do not realize that Attorney Seaver cannot advise them) and that you understand what will be expected of you.

Before coming to the office for your meeting with Attorney Seaver, you should create a factual chronology of the events that led to your involvement with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, formerly known as Massachusetts Department of Social Services. You should be prepared to provide a list of persons involved with your child: pediatrician; dentist; day care provider; teacher; therapist; etc. You should also make a list of all persons involved with your DCF case: the name, address, and telephone number of your social worker; his or her supervisor; the docket number of your case; the court in which your case is being heard; the names and telephone numbers of attorneys involved; etc.

If you decide to retain Attorney Seaver, you will be asked to sign a fee agreement, pay a retainer fee, and sign releases. Any questions you have will be answered in as much detail as possible, and we will provide you with contact information for the office.
